Which way to reach us, and when

• Water coming in right now — call. A phone call gets a person. A form gets read when somebody is next at a desk, which in the middle of a storm week is not fast enough.
• Damage you have noticed but that is not urgent — either. Missing shingles, a stain that is not spreading, granules in the gutters. The form is fine and lets you write it out properly.
• Getting a second opinion on somebody else's estimate — the form. Tell us what you have been quoted and for what. We will look at the roof ourselves and tell you whether it lines up.
• A question about work we already did — call. Warranty and callback questions are faster on the phone.
• After hours — leave a message. It gets picked up the next working morning, and messages that mention active water get called back first.

What happens after you get in touch

1. We talk for five minutes. Address, what you are seeing, how long it has been going on, and whether anybody has been on the roof already.
2. We book the inspection. Usually within a couple of days in a normal week. You do not need to be home for the roof itself, but it helps if you are there at the end so we can walk you through what we found.
3. We inspect the whole system. Field shingles, ridge, valleys, flashing at walls and chimneys, pipe boots, gutters and the attic where we can get into it. Not just the spot that made you call.
4. You get photographs and a written summary. Yours to keep, whether you hire us or not, and useful if you want a second opinion from somebody else.
5. You get a line-item number, not a lump sum. So you can see what the underlayment is, what the flashing is, and what happens to the price if the decking underneath turns out to be soft.
6. You decide in your own time. We do not do same-day-signature discounts, and nobody is going to lean on you.

While you are waiting on a leak

If water is coming through a ceiling before we get there, a few things help and one thing really does not:

• Put a bucket down and move furniture and electronics out of the way.
• If the ceiling is bulging, a small hole at the low point with a screwdriver lets the water out in a controlled place instead of bringing the whole section down. It feels wrong. It is the right call.
• Photograph everything before you clean up. Time-stamped photos of the ceiling, the walls and any damaged contents are worth having later.
• Turn off power to the affected room at the breaker if water is anywhere near a fixture or outlet.
• Do not get on the roof. Wet composition shingle is genuinely dangerous, and there is nothing you can do from up there in the rain that is worth a fall. Call us.

Two things we do not do

We do not knock on doors after storms, and we do not cold-call. If somebody turns up on your porch claiming to be from CS Roofing Concepts, call the number on this page and check before you let them near the roof or sign anything. That happens across Fort Bend County every storm season and it is worth thirty seconds to verify.

We also do not pressure people into deciding on the spot. If a roofer tells you the price is only good today, that is a sales tactic, not a roof.
