How to Choose the Best Roofing Company in Fort Bend County (2026 Checklist)
Pick the roofer whose track record you can check without asking them. Read their Google reviews and BBB profile, get a line-item written estimate, get the warranty in writing, and ask for a photo report of your actual roof. A good company welcomes every one of those. A bad one has a reason to dodge at least two.

1. Reviews you can verify
Search the exact business name on Google and read the reviews yourself, including the low ones and how the owner answered them. Look for specific details — the neighborhood, what was done, who showed up — not a pile of five-star lines with no substance. We hold 4.8 stars from 24 Google reviews, and you can read them on our reviews page before you ever call.
2. A BBB profile under the same name
The Better Business Bureau profile is a second place the roofer cannot edit. CS Roofing Concepts is BBB Accredited with an A rating. Check that the name, phone number and city match what is on the truck and the estimate.
3. A real local presence
Storm season brings crews from out of state, and some are fine. The question is who answers the phone in February when something goes wrong. Ask where the company is based and who owns it. We are a locally owned roofing contractor in Richmond, TX, and you can see who we are on the about page.
4. A line-item written estimate
One big number with no breakdown is the most common way two quotes become impossible to compare. A real estimate lists tear-off, underlayment, shingles, flashing, ventilation and cleanup as separate lines. It also names the shingle product and line. We publish our pricing, and what a new roof costs in Richmond shows what those lines usually add up to.
5. A photo report of your roof
Anyone can say your roof needs replacing. Ask to see it: photos of the actual damage or wear, taken on your roof, that you keep whether or not you hire them. Our free inspection ends with exactly that. If a roofer will not show you the problem, treat the quote with suspicion.
6. The warranty, in writing
There are two warranties, and they are different. The manufacturer covers the shingles. The contractor covers the workmanship. Ask for both in writing, including who to call and for how long. A verbal promise is not a warranty. For more on how long shingles realistically last here, read do 30-year shingles last 30 years in Texas.
7. No “sign today” deadline
A roof quote should still be good next week. Deadlines, door knocks right after a storm and discounts that vanish at midnight are tactics, not pricing. We wrote down the common ones in what to check before you sign with a roofer.
Put it together
Get at least two quotes and put them side by side, line by line. If one is far lower, find the missing line before you celebrate. Then choose the company you can verify, not the one that talked fastest. If you are planning a roof replacement, we will quote it line by line on your actual roof.
Common questions
How do I choose a roofing company in Fort Bend County?
Check Google reviews and the BBB profile under the exact business name, confirm a local address and phone, get a line-item written estimate, ask for the warranty in writing, and ask for photos of your actual roof. Compare at least two quotes line by line.
How many roofing quotes should I get?
Two or three. Fewer and you have nothing to compare; more and the differences get hard to sort out. Make sure each quote lists the same materials so the comparison is fair.
What should a roofing estimate include?
Separate lines for tear-off, underlayment, shingles (with the product name), flashing, ventilation and cleanup, plus the total, the timeline and the warranty terms. A single lump-sum number is a red flag.
Is the cheapest roofing quote the best deal?
Rarely. A much lower price usually means a missing line, a thinner material, or a workmanship warranty that does not hold up. Ask what is different before you decide.
